The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel movement was very strong in
the mid-1900s,
the building(s) and Chapel are located down Daisy Hill,
on the left before the old Pincock Street and River Yarrow.
It is of Ranters Fame!
Euxton Methodist Sunday
School (1945)
Annual Anniversary.
Folks that I can identify in the picture are:
Front row, centre seated Francis and Elizabeth Ashcroft, whilst also on the front row,
to the right of the Ashcrofts are 'youngsters' Joyce Cornwall, Patricia (Fairy) Heffron
(my big sister), Enid Jessop and Horace Jessop.
Back row: 3rd and 4th from left are May Swift and Mini Swift.
Mrs. Jessop is standing in the middle row, behind Patricia and Enid.
